Marketing Insurance Consultants has engaged Software Solutions for two
major projects, both implemented with Microsoft Visual FoxPro.
The first project involved
setting up a system for data collection, billing and receivables, and
reporting in providing insurance service to members of a national trade
organization. The second project
involved building a system to track prospective insurance clients for their
nationwide business and to provide an extensive set of reports to know how
things stand and what follow-up is needed.

Bar Insurance Consultants engaged Software Solutions to convert its
database of insurance plans and clients to a Windows-based database
environment. Built with
Microsoft Visual FoxPro, the system supports billing, receivables,
eligibility, and management reporting for multiple life, long term care,
medical, and dental care insurance plans.

The Lafayette Symphony
Orchestra, a full-fledged symphony orchestra, deals with standard non-profit
tasks on a substantial scale. For
years, each of the staff built his or her own data tables within Microsoft
Access with no coordination. As
a result, reports spanning more than one season or more than one activity
(fundraising, ticket sales, etc.) were impossible to obtain.
Software Solutions was brought
in to develop an integrated system to handle subscriber development,
fundraising, ticket sales, committee participation, and other functions
while saving as much data as possible from the old tables.
A menu-driven system developed with Microsoft Access makes questions
about contributions, subscribers, and ticket sales easy to answer.
An integrated seat chart driven by the ticket sales data shows
assigned and available seating for each concert and presents assorted
attendee statistics (e.g. subscriptions, comp tickets).

engaged Software Solutions to convert its existing DOS-based scheduling
system to a Windows-based environment. The
system enables the clinic to track patients, diagnoses, treatments,
clinicians, appointments, supervisors, and appointment locations.
The extensive reporting system provides information about schedules,
patient status, and more.
